PU or Polyurethane wheels are slightly stronger and more durable than equivalent PVC wheels, they have a greater load cpacity, see specs, so they do have more uses, however they are slightly more expensive.
These wheels are very puncture resistant, however in the unlikely event that the tyre is punctured a repair can be made quite easily using a hot knife or soldering iron, instructions are included with each wheel.
